Outstanding Faculty Award

ÌòÒõÊÓƵ Outstanding Faculty Award recognizes faculty with a commitment to higher education from within the ÌòÒõÊÓƵ. This award recognizes superior accomplishments in teaching, research and public service.

Nomination Criteria

• A nominee must possess a record of superior accomplishment that reflects strongly the mission of his/her institution. A nominee’s accomplishments will be judged in relation to the nature/type of his/her nominating institution. Recipients will be selected from across all universities within the ÌòÒõÊÓƵ.
• A nominee must possess a record of superior accomplishment in the following three areas of scholarly endeavor: (i) TEACHING; (ii) RESEARCH; and (iii) SERVICE. A nominee will be judged in each of these three areas (within the context of Criterion #1 above).Ìýa. A record of superior accomplishment in the scholarship of °Õ·¡´¡°ä±á±õ±·³ÒÌýshould contain clear and compelling evidence related to student development and learning. If a nominee is particularly proficient in the use of technology in teaching, evidence of this should be integrated into the record of teaching accomplishments. b. A record of superior accomplishment in the scholarship of ¸é·¡³§·¡´¡¸é°ä±áÌýshould contain clear and compelling evidence related to: (i) scholarly works (objective, subjective, and/or artistic); (ii) scholarly activities (new knowledge and research); and (iii) meaningful connections between a nominee’s discovery and teaching. c. A record of superior accomplishment in the scholarship of ³§·¡¸é³Õ±õ°ä·¡Ìýshould contain clear and compelling evidence related to: the application of knowledge and expertise in the broader contexts of (i) institution; (ii) community/society; and (iii) professional service.
• A nominee’s record of superior accomplishment must demonstrate clear and compelling evidence of the nature, level, and/or degree of a nominee’s: (i) involvement/ participation; (ii) effectiveness/success; (iii) impact/achievement; and (iv) recognition/acknowledgement in the areas of teaching, research, and service. The nature, level, and/or degree of this evidence must also be reflective of his/her institution’s type/mission.

Outstanding Staff Award

ÌòÒõÊÓƵ Outstanding Staff Award recognizes a staff member from within the ÌòÒõÊÓƵ who has accomplished exceptional achievements in their respective job assignment, support and fulfillment of their university’s mission, and contribute through service at their university or within their community.
ÌòÒõÊÓƵ employ exceptional staff members whose unfailing support and selfless contributions provide an invaluable foundation. They serve with a dedication to excellence that often goes above and beyond expectations providing service to students, parents, faculty, community members, and each other.

Champion of Diversity and Inclusion

ÌòÒõÊÓƵ Champions of Diversity and Inclusion Award recognizes an individual who exhibits excellence in living and promoting behaviors that demonstrate diversity, inclusion and cultural competence at an institution within the ÌòÒõÊÓƵ. This award honors an open thinker and embracer of differences who promotes equal opportunities in race, religion, culture, sexual identification and expression, thought processes, etc. This person brings awareness to diversity and inclusion in the workplace and community.

Nomination Criteria

• A nominee seeks to learn about the importance of diversity and inclusion.
• A nominee promotes and develops activities ad dialogue that highlight unity and strength in diversity.
• A nominee supports activities that encourage others to get involved in diversity efforts intra-departmentally and throughout the institution.
• A nominee demonstrates commitment to the principles of diversity through participation in activities that promote inclusion and respect and respect for diverse racial, cultural and ethnic differences.
